Sergio Aguero returned to training at Manchester City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero returned to training after being dropped in the past two games with a knee injury.

The Argentine striker, 24, was transported by stretcher from the field in the game against Southampton which ended with the victory of City on 19 August.

But City, who travel to Stoke City on 15 September, published photographs showing Aguero were practicing on the club's website.

"Did Stoke too early for him to return, remains to be seen," said Aguero's caption.

Aguero did not go down in a match with Liverpool 2-2 draw last August 26 and a 3-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers on 1 September.

But he was still named in the Argentina national team for World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru.

Aguero injury from Southampton player tackled Nathaniel Clyne, and Mancini said at the time: "I think Sergio will not be an old injury and we hope he can come back after the international matches."

Aguero himself was said in his Twitter account that the blow on his right knee pretty hard, but "this is not a serious injury."

The Argentine was the main striker for City, scoring 23 goals in his first season after moving from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £ 38 million.
