Liverpool will not sell Reina

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson says goalkeeper Pepe Reina will not be sold to Manchester United.

Previously manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson was widely rumored to be buying kipernya Reina to replace Edwin Van der Sar who decided to retire at the end of the season this year.

"If Ferguson had a lot of money and are looking for a replacement, he might be interested in Reina, because he is the best" Hodgson said as quoted by Liverpool Echo.

"But we will not sell Reina, he is the soul of our club."

Reina joined Liverpool in 2006 with 6 million pound transfer fee of pounds and has appeared in 271 games.

Reina April last year to extend the contract, but since the Reds failed to enter the Champions League and was fired as manager Rafael Benitez, Reina was widely rumored to be off to Arsenal by money transfer worth 23 million pounds.

Although Reina did not move, news of his departure became clearer since the disappointing performance of Liverpool.

"We have not heard from Manchester United and we do not want to hear anything from Manchester United," said Hogson.

Meanwhile forward Dirk Kuyt has recovered from a knee injury and probably will again compete in the advanced league against Chelsea on 7 November.

Kuyt suffered a knee injury playing for the Dutch national team on 12 October and was forced to rest for a month.

"He should be sembuhsecepat this because his knee injury, but he seems pretty good,"

Meanwhile, defender Glen Johnson is likely still could not return to compete melawanBolton this Sunday, because it is still bothered by a thigh muscle injury.
